About Halifax Meats
Halifax Meats building has always been a butchery and goes way back prior to the 1800’s when it was established by a Mr Gorton.
Originally a two story structure with residence, it was burnt down some time after 1927 and the lower section restored to its present state.
Since then ownership has passed through various local identities such as C.N. Carr, the Garbutt brothers, Miroglio and Betha, Philip Macario, A. Searle, N. Acconero and the current owner, Kris & Helen Edmonds.
The Butcher shop is now being managed by their two sons David & Paul, which are 5th Generation butchers with a passion for the industry.
The Edmonds family & their friendly staff stride to provide quality products and services to the local surrounding Areas and Community.
