About Halifax Meats
Halifax Meats building has always been a butchery and goes way back prior to the 1800’s when it was established by a Mr Gorton.
Originally a two story structure with residence, it was burnt down some times after 1927 and the lower section restored to its present state.
Since then owner has passed through various local identities such as C.N. Carr, the Garbutt borthers, Miroglio and Betha, Philip Macarion, A. Searle, N. Acconero and the current owner, Kris Edmonds.
Kris, Helen and their two sons David and Paul who are now up and coming 5th generation Butchers, Have been enjoying the laid-back lifestyle and surrounding areas for the past 11 years. After travelling around this Great Country of Ours for 2 years they decided to call Halifax Home.
